They don't both me?

They used to but then I guess I stopped caring so much about announcers and started enjoying the game more

But come on, could you REALLY bear to hear Michelle Beadle talk for 3 hours?

Yes. If it involves Michelle Beadle, I'll do just about anything for three hours

I don't mind female announcers. I'll take them over Verne and Gary, or the epic suck that was Davie Jones, or Craig James.

FYI...the first attempt was in the NFL, Jane Chastain...a Fla. sports writer. CBS paired her with Pat Summerall.

First quarter, 3rd and 25..offense deep in their own territory. Bears ran a draw play and gained 5 yards then punted.

Jane: That was a really bad call. You can't gain 25 yards on a draw play. They should have thrown the bomb.

Pat: Uh, the defense probably expected that.

The CBS telephone lines melted. "Get the bitch out of the booth."

She never called another game but she got a great severance package.

A bomb had a better chance of getting more yardage or even a first down than a draw. I would have thrown a screen though.

Doris Burke is good at her job.

I like her. Pam Ward is pretty meh, but I don't know how people can complain about her when Hawkins is 100x more annoying.
