Why doesn't basketbal mix (color scheme) their shorts/jerseys?

Why doesn't basketball (college or NBA) mix their jersey and short colors like a lot of football teams?
Ex: Florida - Blue Jersey, Orange Shorts
LSU - White jersey, Yellow Shorts
Vandy - Gold jersey, Black shorts
Ex: Florida - Blue Jersey, Orange Shorts
LSU - White jersey, Yellow Shorts
Vandy - Gold jersey, Black shorts

I don't know the prevailing reason, but IMO, it looks terrible.

I can't say it looks good or terrible because I don't think I have ever seen it. Seriously.
I wish someone could fark it just so I could get a mental image.
