Are you the one who said Shaq outplayed Hakeem in the 95 Finals in the other thread?

With the exception of the Hornets, all of those teams have been to the conference finals

And look at the rosters of each of those Conf final teams and what do you see? An NBA team managing to get lucky and draft a NBA superstar/top 5 player in the league.

Orlando - Shaq, Miami - Wade, Timberwolves - Garnett(and why you don't consider him a star for the wolves to have built around is beyond my comprehension)

So in the NBA it seems the biggest ingredient is managing to draft a superstar, expansion team or not.

And let's be honest the Wolves made the conference finals in 03 for the first time, and Miami's first trip was 06. More than a decade plus of existence.

Is it really right to still be using expansion on them that far into their history for the purposes of this thread?

I was referring to stars drafted closer to the creation of the team. Garnett was 7 years after they were formed.

Paul was a superstar and the Hornets have no banners to show for it.

The Heat may won for the first time 18 years after creation but considering the vast majority of teams with no title that have been around since the merger, that is significant. The USA may be 200 plus years old which is a long time but in the grand scheme of things, they are teenagers (as said in the Mighty Ducks) compared to the rest of the countries.
