Indiana

Georgia

That’s your top 4 teams in the country.

This is the problem with all preseason and early-season polls. Last year doesn't matter at all, especially with players transferring.

Indiana had a joke of an OOC schedule.

Their SOS and SOR are almost even.

Yea they need to go away until about this time of the season. OSU clearly didn’t beat the #1 team in the country in week 1.

Kind of proving my point.

Neither team obviously had any control over their conference schedule. They can only control who they play OOC.

I’d give the edge to the team who isn’t following a cowardly approach to scheduling the only games they have control over.

Indiana strangled Illinois, holding them to about five yards rushing.

We all know it should be Alabama.

Only team in the Top 12 (playoff seeds) to get BLOWN OUT by a dogshite team.

Wut lol

If OSU played some murdered row of OOC, so what? Both teams SOR and SOS are about even.

Apparently that doesn’t matter because style points shouldn’t count for anything?

Why start a thread if you aren't even going to try and be reasonable in conversation?

You don't think OSU should be #1 and that's fine, but metrics and people who watch more football than you say OSU is the best team

Because as he said, you can choose your OOC but can't choose your in conference schedule. OSU has no control over the 9 B1G games or their records. Neither does Indiana.

If their SOS and SOR are about even, I’d reward the team that actually scheduled a P5 opponent in the only part of their schedule they have a say in.

This isn’t that deep.

Also the only team to beat 4 ranked teams in 4 consecutive weeks.

There are so metrics that say IU is better.

And IU also has the best win, which is something the committee said they were going to weigh more heavily this season.

Yea, and all the OSU fans immediately rush here to do exactly that lol

Ok now how do you reward the team with the best win?

Put Indiana at 1. It’s meaningless at the moment. Like I said in my first post, I don’t really care where Ohio State lands because it will play itself out.

I 100% agree. Nothing we say here matters, and the polls really don’t matter. I was surprised at how close both teams were when I looked into it this morning. Figured OSU would be the clear #1 but that’s not the case.
