Nobody has mentioned Utah.
They needed Alabama, Florida, Texas Tech, Texas, and Oklahoma all to lose a game.

I don't think Utah deserves a shot this season. A few reasons:

1) Texas is done, but their schedule is light years better than Utah's. Texas should be ahead of Utah, no matter what happens this weekend.
2) Either Alabama will be undefeated (in which case they'll have a slightly tougher schedule than Utah), or Florida will be 11-1 (vs FBS) with a considerably tougher schedule.

If there's ever a year when the BCS picks its two teams, and somewhere on the outside there's another team with a better record and tougher schedule than one of the teams selected, then a team will have gotten screwed. Luckily, that hasn't happened yet.

According to Sagarin UW had a tougher schedule than FSU or Miami in 2000. So it has happened.

honestly, if Bama loses I think they're screwed. They'll be 12-1 with a loss to possibly the best team in the country. Not to mention they went undefeated in the regular season. Idk.

ok, i dont know if this has been addressed, im just now reading this thread

but there is a < 0% chance that the sec doesnt get two in. yes, i said it, less than zero

the winner of the game will go to the nc game, thus taking them from the sugar, and the sugar will get one of the top two picks, presumably with the fiesta, if they lose the big 12 team

that being said, the sugar will take the other sec team, regardless of how far they fall, bc they wont fall outside the top 14 or 12 or whatever it is to qualify

so no, bama or florida will not get screwed
