Are you insane?

They wouldn't even be a Top team in the 1970's with the Big Red Machine and the A's dynasty.

They won 108 games.

Yankees won 100.

Rays won 90.

In the AL East.

That tells you something.

Hey the 1988 A's won 104 games but lost to the Dodgers. Are the Bash Brothers/Eck LaRusso GOAT manager a Top 10 team?

Are the Mariners?

There are so many teams in WS history that wouldn't trade their players for the current Red Sox players.

These threads are like clockwork.

Everything that happened 5 minutes ago is the BEST OF ALL-TIME.

Everyone wants to live in the greatest of everything.

So their lives can have some meaning, I suppose.

The 1972 A's had to beat the Big Red Machine to win the WS - not the Dave Roberts' hapless Dodgers.

Nobody is trading away Reggie Jackson to get any player on this current Red Sox team I can tell you that.

Or any pitcher for that matter...

Vida Blue, who won the Cy Young award the year before, was the team's No. 4 starter. Every starting pitcher (Catfish Hunter, Blue Moon Odom, Ken Holtzman, Blue and Dave Hamilton) had an ERA under 3.00.

And that was just one of those A's teams...not to mention all those Reds teams in just the 70's.

How about this the 2018 Red Sox would be the 8th best team of the 1970's and maybe the 5th best team of the 80's and the 3rd best team of the 90's.

83 was a magnificent team but they got blown the frick out in the Super Bowl and almost squandered a 21-0 lead to the 49ers in the NFC title game at home but a couple of questionable calls on the Skins final drive and Moseley saved them that day, 82's a pretty good team their playoff run was epic and magnificent Riggins' defining performance as a pro

Nowhere close to the 1997 Marlins.

FTFY.

Edit: Downvoted by people who still probably blame Eric Gregg.

1983 Raiders just got hot.

Theismann said the 1983 Skins were the best team he ever played on.

Since you wanna go stats:

The Redskins' 541 points scored and +209 point differential was the best in the league, with the 541 points setting an NFL record at the time. The 1983 Redskins also had a turnover margin of +43, an NFL record. Washington was the first team since the merger to record more than 60 takeaways (61.)

Joe Gibbs, National Football League Coach of the Year Award

John Riggins, Bert Bell Award

Joe Theismann, AP NFL MVP

Joe Theismann, PFWA NFL MVP

Joe Theismann, NEA NFL MVP

Joe Theismann, National Football League Offensive Player of the Year Award

John Riggins, 1,483 Rushing Yards and set record with 24 rushing TDs (Held the TD record for 12 Years)

Team scoring: 541 points (Held record until 1998)

Knowledgable folks in the business call them the best team to never win a Super Bowl...and they are including the 2007 Pats and 1998 Vikings.

And the 1983 Redskins won their divisional playoff game 51-7 if you are going to quote their "squeker" in the NFC champ game.

70 Orioles don't get enough love.

Palmer, McNally, and Cuellar all won 20 games. Starting lineup included Boog Powell, Frank Robinson, and Brooks Robinson. Won 108 games, swept a solid Twins team, and beat the Reds 4 games to 1.
