Cal and Stanford will be fine. They will play Wake, Duke, and Vandy level football at best and Tulane and Rice level at worst.
I don't get the hate for Cal and Stanford. No one with a degree from Cal and Stanford are disadvantaged because their football teams are not that great.
I mean in Silicon Valley and Wall Street a Cal and Stanford degree is pretty damn good.

San Diego State athletics doesn't have $34 million. The buyout this year 2/3s of would have been paid through MT West withholding payments.
Now they would have to cough up an additional $22 million after the payments are with held.
