No NFL snaps but a definitive statement that he will never be as good as Dalton.

So you admit you dont know what he will be like as an NFL QB?

Not even sure what makes you think I am an LSU supporter and hater of all things Bama.

On what basis can you say he wont be better? You have no clue.

McCarron was drafted in the fifth round for a reason. Because people who grade scouts for a living determined he had little prospects of being a legit NFL starting QB, which Dalton already is. Add on top of that the fact that McCarron has yet to practice, I'm not quite sure what makes you think he has progressed since being graded.

No one is saying he will be better, just that it's too early to make a definitive statement that he will never be better than Dalton. Not all mid to late round QBs are duds.

No one said he was great, but he is better than 1/3 or more of the other starting QBs in the league.

All those playoff runs the Bengals have made surely prove that

IR him or keep him on PUP and then IR him in 6 weeks. Keeps his rights and also frees up a space on the practice squad.

So you're not a legit starting NFL QB unless you make it past the first round? Give me a break, dude.

You can say Dalton is a mid-level QB, but to say he's not a "legit starting NFL QB" is dumb.

You know that getting a team to the playoffs, especially on more than one occasion is quite an accomplishment.

You're on drugs if you think McCarron "owned" LSU throughout his career. Bama may have a couple of times while he was their QB though.

Both times the Bengals have made the playoffs with Dalton it has been in spite of him. Then in the playoffs they lost because of him.

Andy Dalton 2013 stats

Completions: 363 - 7th
Attempts: 586 - 7th
Completion percentage: 61.9% - 7th
Yards: 4293 - 7th
QB Rating: 88.8 - 7th

Still want to stand behind that "in spite of him" comment?

Yep. He is garbage. The third best QB in the division. Maybe 4th depending on what Hoyer does this year.
