Ben Kaplan
@bkaplan4
While researching Pipeline to the Pros, we found the earliest document of Sam Presti's team-building philosophy - a letter to the editor in the Boston Globe on 4/10/94.

Presti argued it was time to "clean house," "clear salary room," and draft JKidd

He was just 16 years old.

For the folks wondering how Chet Holmgren would fare against a physical big in the playoffs, here’s +/- through two games:

Chet Holmgren: +30
Jonas Valanciunas: -16

Spoelstra can outcoach anyone

TIL Spoelstra was playing against Loyola Marymount and on the court standing just a couple of yards away from Hank Gathers when Gathers collapsed and died of a heart condition.
