LSU should re-schedule them every year now. It'll be a "BCS" team and it'll be another rentawin.

You do realize that the Big East loses its' automatic BCS bid as of next year right? It will not be a BCS Conference.

I do, which is why I used "BCS". Notice the quotes around the word BCS. People will still rather play the Big East then Sun Belt teams.

Seems like a curious geographic move, but since Conference USA is so spread out and this is basically it reconstituted, I guess it doesn't matter.

While accepting the invitation to join the BIG EAST made perfect sense, we did not make the decision to leave our current conference, Conference USA, easily. We have had some great friendships, great rivalries and great successes in Conference USA over the last 17 years.

Hahaha.. Fogelman Arena is not quite a fit for the BigEast basketball arenas..

Tulane is about to skullfricked in Bball/Football... But it does make it a more viable ticket now to see other teams especially, in basketball

The football will be about as good as what they're facing now.

Conference basketball games will be played in the NO Arena.

And pirior to Katrina Tulane had more CUSA championships than any other school. With the new influx of money into the program they will be very competitive in short order IMHO

N.O arena.. I suppose that would work.. But Tulane needs to invest in either building a modern arena on campus, granted that will be tuff due to the uptown community and space.

Why is Tulane obsessed with playing in front of thousands of empty seats? Fogelman packed to the gills is a good thing.

Well they were about ready to do just that but got sticker shock when it was learned that a state of the art bball arena would cost $40 million .... So now we have a shoehorned football stadium being built for close to the same amount.

Good move for Tulane and decent move for the Big East which is obviously taking a beating in the realignment wars.

As others have noted, the new Big East will have a lot of overlap with the old C-USA.

Edit: Wow, I just looked an eleven teams from the Conference USA have made their way to the Big East! That is pretty much an entire conference worth...

Very fortunate to get out of the total shite-fest that CUSA was becoming.

LSU fans are so concerned with Alabama cramming their collective cocks down their throat, Tulane's bad athletics program and basically everything except their own team.

This is seriously very funny to me. Tulane SUCKS on all fronts. They have money, that's it. Tulane Football has been irrelevant for a long time. No big loss for USA. ECU has been wanting to go BEast for years, makes sense geographically for them.
