College football media, especially ESPN, has a huge impact on the perceptions of the subjective football polls and the individual awards at the end of the season. It’s just not as big of an influence as they often think it is.

The media types have come to the consensus that they haven’t shown enough love to TCU, which has effected their rankings. I don’t know if this perception is true or not. No one does.

My guess is that TCU would get boat-raced by the other top 10 teams, but what do I know? Texas isn’t the marquee matchup that could reveal the truth, as much as the media and TCU seem to hope.

Nevertheless, this seems to be the reason for Game Day choosing to go to Austin a 2nd time in one season. It’s a bad reason.

Tulane has a better case, IMO.

Do you think there’s some behind the scenes negotiations that take place ($$$)? I wonder.

That sucks I really thought they would come and help Yulman have another packed house.

Would have been perfect weather weekend too.

Now what the hell am I going to do with all these newcomb pottery pun signs.
