this thread confirms that one RODDY WHITE is the most underrated WR in the league
Definitely up there in terms of being underrated. The problem is he has Jenkins on the other side.

OVERALL TALLY
Larry Fitzgerald (16)
Andre Johnson (16)
Brandon Marshall (15)
Reggie Wayne (12)
Randy Moss (6)
Wes Welker (6)
Calvin Johnson (5)
Marques Colston (2)
Steve Smith (2)
Vincent Jackson (1)
Hines Ward (1)
Fitzgerald and A. Johnson were the only two unanimous selections, with Marshall being in every person's top 5 but one.
My one problem with this is how many people who have Wes Welker in their top 5. Trade Steve Smith for Wes Welker. Don't you think Smith would put up all the numbers and much more if he were playing in New England right now? I do. I just can't make myself believe that Welker is a top 5 wide receiver in the NFL. No way.

quote:I don't. They're two different types of players. Besides that, I think defenders automatically underestimate Welker because he's white. There, I said it. I'm not saying that Welker doesn't belong on the list. I'd have to say that I'd put Calvin up there instead of Welker. (BTW, I see Crabtree on this list in the not too distant future.) But you can't argue with Welker's success for whatever reason.

Maybe 2 years ago, not now.
