I must be in the minority, but I've never found Michigan Stadium to be what you read on message boards, social media, etc. Of course, I was there for a couple ranked Michigan / Wisconsin match-ups, so the stadium might have been naturally louder.

My stepson just graduated from Illinois and the ceremony was louder than any of the 6 games I went to.

It was the it thing at the time. People were also not obsessed with crowd noise like now.
Just a decent view and nobody yelling in your ear so you can enjoy the game. It's called the gentleman's stadium. No piss bombs at Michigan.
But flat bowls, sound is like a fart in the wind.
