Cool thanks, as a novice horse betting it just struck me as odd that the horse dropped in class and only ran once this year after running well in the stakes races.

I really need to learn more about this sport, I say it every year around this time and never follow up on it. I guess I just don't know where to start

You never win though, just kidding

I'd actually like to get to the point where its fun to watc races without betting, knowing what races to watch for the up and coming horses, etc. the only time I realize there is an important race is when it's coming on espn, abc, or nbc

Dont post much but just wanted to get some opinions. Thinking about throwing a bit down on Creative Cause or Went the Day Well to place.

Obviously any horse Mike Smith is riding is money (especially Bode here) but I want to make it more interesting...

Bold or dumb? TIA

Since you are going with the co 3rd choices (ml) its not so bold

A bold choice would be something like oweo choosing optimizer.

But I will say your choices aren't dumb.

True. While I agree the cc or wtdw picks arent THAT risky, the Preakness has historically been very generous to the outright favorities. The track is extremely fast and will bode well for Bodemeister (some pun intended)

Anyways, gl to everyone betting today...Preakness is always a fun one!

Aspy, you know more about how horses are affected by travel, so do you think all the cross-country traveling will take its toll on Creative Cause? I like him, but I don't like all the travel back and forth to CA.

Some are affected a lot, others not at all.

Guess we'll know tonight.

Causeway is one of my 3 favorite studs, and he's the only one still alive. I've loved creative cause since the beginning because he's a grey causeway baby :)

Hope he runs big, but not hoping he beats Iha.

I mean, I'd make more money that way, but I'd be a sad aspy.
