If Patrick Mahomes commits to Texas Tech in 2023 with the current transfer and NIL rules, does he play 3 years there?

Mahomes in college and Mahomes under Andy Reid are two different animals.
Sure, he torched teams at Texas Tech, but he was really raw and ran a ton more in college than he does in the NFL.
Thats why he was basically viewed as a 2nd Rd pick at best until the last few weeks before the draft, then GMs saw the raw skills and he began shooting up draft boards.
Remember, he sat a year in the NFL behind Alex Smith and Reid was able to polish him up a ton.
Basically no one talked about him in college in a national level. He may would have gotten a lot more exposure at an SEC school, but I'm not sure he would have gone anywhere.

Plenty of 2nd or later round pick QBs getting paid $$$ in college these days.
