TCU played Minnesota which isn't exactly a powerhouse. TCU also lost to Baylor in a game during which they gave up >60 points. I get the disdain for Baylor's noncoference schedule (it was bad for the last 5 years and is only now improving), but the notion that TCU deserved to be ranked above Baylor is foolish.
