I would much rather players get acclimated to playing football after the offseason in meaningless preseason games instead of them having to figure shite out in the first 3-4 games of the regular season.
You have to be more than a casual fan to see how much better players start off in the regular season when they play in the preseason.
Is the preseason sexy?... No, but it does make the quality of the regular season better.

Helps rookies so much and for guys trying to make the team. The lights are different than practice, don’t understand why this makes y’all so mad. The regular season is a more polished product as a result.
