So you think the Lakers will win tWCF, unless they meet the Thunder?

Yes. I would pick the Lakers over San Antonio or Denver.

And I know you said your picks can change daily/by the hour, cause you know there are some slight variations from your picks in the other thread. Nothing too major, (mainly length of series/games), but I'm curious as to why you changed your pick for the mavs/blazers series.

eta: besides it being a gut feeling and the Mavs having home-court.

I usually don't just go on a gut feeling, but I think a lot of people are counting the Mavs out. It's almost as if picking the Mavs is the upset. I wouldn't be surprised if Portland won the series, of course. This is probably the series that I am the least sure of. I do expect a lot of home wins though.

You're a Mavs fan right?

Can't wait to see Dirk and LaMarcus try to guard each other.

Also, the Kidd/Miller match-up will be interesting to watch. You think they keep Kidd on Miller the entire series?

No, Hornets fan.

But I like Boston, Miami, and Dallas a lot too.

Yea, at least for the most part. Miller is a physical guard. I think putting a guy like Terry on him could open up some post up opportunities for Miller.

After watching the first 2 games, it's pretty evident that Chicago is going to need Boozer or another scorer to consistently help Rose carry the load if they are going to beat Miami/Boston in the ECF.

I'm really interested to see Boston play in the playoffs. I don't expect them to do what they did last year, but there's always a chance they will put it together and make another deep run.

As for Miami, they should be fine against Philadelphia, probably taking them out in 5. I can't wait until Boston/Miami. I don't think Boston can beat Chicago, but I think they can beat Miami. It's really just a giant game of rock paper scissors going on throughout the entire NBA playoffs.

Good read but I think you're way overvaluing the Hawks.

I'm here to eat my crow. Glad I didn't put any money on the game, I was sure Atlanta was gonna go quietly.

I had Atlanta +8.5.

Got a little lucky they shot the lights out. I still think the Magic win the series though.

Memphis and Atlanta both win, pretty much clinching the Over 5.5 games in both of their respective series.

Making Vegas my bitch.

Most intriguing match-up: Spurs front-court vs. Grizzlies front-court
We'll likely see Zach Randolph matching up against DeJuan Blair, and Mark Gasol going up against Tim Duncan. To me, this is advantage Grizzlies. Big time. Randolph should have a field day against the Spurs. After all, he has averaged 23 points and 15 rebounds a game against San Antonio this season. At some point, if not right away, Duncan will have to guard Randolph, not that he'll do it effectively. Randolph will likely see double teams throughout the series, giving Gasol some good opportunities to score as well. I think this match-up down low is what will keep Memphis in this series for a long time.

Duncan saying he was focused too much on Randolph, allowing Gasol to get some easy looks.

Heat/Sixers and Bulls/Pacers tonight.

I actually think both games will be pretty close, once again.
