Lowe has been on big time this spring, hope that continues

Kimbrel is starting to put it together after a rough start. Struck out the 3 batters he faced today

Venters is still sick. Get us to the 8th inning with a lead and we're gonna be hard to beat

fricking hate Red Sox fans. Which bandwagon is more annoying? Red Sox or Yankees?

Discuss.

The obvious answer is Lakers, but whatever.

funny debate. I'm die hard Braves as well, and have been since I was old enough to watch baseball which ironically enough was early 90s. Whether it was TBS always playing their games or the fact that my little league team was the Braves...I love them.

But the point I'm getting at is its hard to slam someone in Louisiana/Mississippi for being a bandwagon baseball fan since we have no MLB team. It's much easier to get interested in a team that has an interest in winning and also teams that are on prime time TV more often than others. i.e. Yankees, Red Sox, Phillies, Tigers...

Doesn't a fan without a home team have the right to root for any team? Or does it become a regional thing? What's the rule on this?

Mark Bowman just tweeted that Matt Young will start in LF instead of Mather, Mather isn't hurt though, the lineup was just posted wrong

I am assuming Young will hit in the 8 hole still

Ehhh, at least have some reasoning behind it. I'm a Braves fan because they were always on TBS, like you said. I've always thought it was stupid to root for a team across the country that you've never seen in person.

Astros bring in a run to tie it 1-1

so what's everyone's thoughts on the opening day roster? the guy on Talking Chop seems to think:

Starters
Lowe
Hudson
Hanson
Jurrjens
Minor

Relief
Moylan
Venters
Sherrill
Kimbrel
Linebrink
O'Flaherty
Cristhian Martinez

Starting position players
Prado
McLouth
Heyward
Chip
Uggla
McCann
Gonzalez
Freeman

Reserves
Hinske
Ross
Conrad
Lucas
Diory

I agree with all of this except I think Mather could get the nod over Lucas
