Anyone else starting to feel that Venters will win the closer job?

I like Kimbrel a lot too. When he is on, he is lights out dominant. But I have been reading more and more about control issues. I would rather Kimbrel close and Venters set up. I just have a feeling that the opposite will happen.

Lets say Minor wins the 5th starter spot(which he probably will). Why not send Beachy to the bullpen instead of AAA?

Yes. Kimbrel couldn't hit the side of a barn that he was standing inside of when he is off. When he's on, thats a totally different matter. However, for the time being he is only on about half the time, and to be a closer he needs to be on 90% of the time if not more.

He's a more talented Mike Dunn. If/when he gets himself under control, he will be dominant, but until then you just never know what you are gonna get out of him.

In real games news, the Nats have announced Livan as their opening day starter.

We will be lucky if we score a run.

He is so crappy. But he always looks like Halladay against us. Maybe this will be the year we get that clown. Here's to the bats showing up and clobbering him for at least 5er.
