He should be in trouble for that one. Either his eyes were shut closed, or he just wanted to get out of there. I am leaning towards the latter. If so, he intentionally threw a ballgame. That is a big fricking deal.
I doubt he did it with the pure intent of "I'm ready to go home. If there's a play at the plate, this thing is over." He was probably half there mentally. Unlike the players, he didn't get to take breaks every 15 or so minutes. No one can seriously be expected to be in complete command of their senses after having to be focused for nearly 7 hours.

You do not need to be "in complete command of your sense" to make that call.
If the Braves lost on that play, then you would write death threats to Meals's family. Your bias is incredible.

There is someone on here that believes that... Go see the "The worst call in the history of the MLB thread."

I'd say you're usually the retard douche in most of these Braves threads and you know I like you

We had a dozen chances to win that game before that play and we didn't capitalize on a single one of them. If the shoe had been on the other foot, oh well, we deserved to lose the damn thing.

you never even post in them so how would you know. i know more about baseball and am more logical than half of the Bravetards on this site. i've been to the Ted. the irrationality of some of ATL fans is mind boggling. some of the most unsophisticated baseball fans i've ever been around. thank god for the handful of good Braves fans on this site because otherwise i wouldn't come near this thread.

You sure know how to be a prick sometimes

I posted with regularity last year and I read most every ATL thread, I just don't post that often in thus thread. If being knowledgable is constantly flaming, then yes, you're at the top.

link me to one dishonest or prickish thing i've said. just because you don't agree with me or like what i have to say doesn't mean i'm an a-hole. please try and be a little more adult about things.

That's a damn lie and you know it. You wouldn't say "oh well" if that happened to the braves
Posted on 7/27/11 at 1:36 am to Rohan2Reed
And I'm pretty sure there isn't a reason for you to post in this thread unless we play the giants...

I will admit that was a terrible fricking call. Lugo was out by a mile. However, for the douche bag Braves haters to say they were "given the game" after pitching 16+ straight scoreless innings, give a MF break.
And my favorite douche bag, R2R, stirring shite up in these threads like a high school cheerleader... Too bad the Braves aren't in the NL West so they could walk through their division.

it's pretty obvious to the grown people who aren't thin-skinned cry babies that my "flaming" is nothing more than light-hearted jabbing. i always come right back with actual baseball discussion and relevant points. let's not make up stuff Bryant.

Really, and the pirates were awful?
Braves were given the game...
Braves were given the game...
