Didn't he have a high forehand volley to go up two sets that he chunked? I seem to remember there was a shot that he had to seize control and you knew it was going to cost him when he missed it.

That’s it Bunk Fed out volleyed Andy that’s exactly it. Andy won a bunch of baseline rallies and was serving like a beast. That match was up there with 1982 Wimbledon Finals and 1984 Roland Garros Finals losses for the men’s games in my tennis fandom. I take WTA losses harder and that’s the only sport I can say that about. Those stung bad.

I was young, but '84 J Mac Roland Garros is probably the number one match I would reverse if I could.

2005 Women's Wimbledon Finals is next right now. This one was a win/win for me I would of been happy with Venus or Davenport winning that 2005 Wimbledon. I just wanted a great three set match and they both delivered. The second set tiebreaker was the best I’ve seen Venus play on grass. It was do or die and Venus reached down and took that trophy in the breaker. It went 9-7 in the 3rd set. Damn I do miss Wimbledon.

Not much action this weekend, but there is UTS. Card doesn't look great, but Tsetse and Goffin tomorrow is decent.

Just glad they kept playing in Atlanta after Tiafoe died. Funny how there was way less uproar with Novak not involved.

The WTA portion of the Citi Open has been cancelled. The ATP player list looks juicy as F though.

Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Goffin, RBA, Schwartzman, Khachanov, Shapo, Garin, FAA, Isner, Paire, Fritz, de Minaur, Raonic, Nishikori.

This is not official. It was taken from a tweet.

I still might head out there if they allow fans.

My sis sent me a butthurt Facebook post from a Serbian friend of hers about that and how Fed would have never caught the same heat for doing a tour. I said that Nole is definitely not loved like Fed and Rafa. I explained that the difference in the perception of the events is one had almost no fans and everyone was wearing masks, while other was a big party with packed stands and no masks. I still support Nole for trying.

Mug is a bit of two face. Very meh sometimes and super attractive others. She has a really endearing presence or style or something, though.

Bunk, I’m sitting here watching the Tennis Channel watching two dudes I didn’t know existed an hour ago practice on a red clay court somewhere whilst I complain about stuff I can do nothing about. Is it funny, pathetic, all the above? I’m gonna do it all day.

I usually have a difficult time getting into lower tier events. But, I watched almost all of the Atlanta exhibition last week. Carreno Busta is pretty good, he made a U.S. Open semifinal.

I'm just now starting to notice how much I took sports for granted pre-virus. Games/matches were just... there, on TV at bars or restaurants, all the time. It's something you assumed would always be there, or at least I did.

Now we get excited over exhibitions in places we didn't even know existed.

Thank you Crack and Bunk for keeping this thread alive and the feedback. Not having fans in the stands absolutely sucks a Milton Berle sized schlong. I went and got me three xanex bars so I’m at least docile whilst I’m complaining. I’m mad at that little baby faced, cute, 19 year old, usurping, Canadian, Bianca for taking that US Open Championship from Serena Williams last September. But I respect Bianca with all I have. Little teenager, bade in the woods, killer. She will win more hard court Slams too.

Tsetse and Goffin is up at 1:30 central. I could probably use some of those bars. I was boozing heavy from April-June with all of the weirdness of this shutdown and my body just kind of gave out. Detox July for me. My posting is better when I am not hammered, so I got that going for me. I'm just really excited to get the tour back going. I have no hope for team sports, but I think tennis will get it done. Tournaments will probably be crazy with COVID withdrawals, though. Can you imagine deep in a major if a guy is asymptomatic, but tests positive? He will be forced out and there is nothing he can do.

They just said on TC that the women's part of the Citi Open is moving to Lexington, KY.

Hopefully they put some odds on this grass exho so I can fade Thiem into oblivion.

I’m watching the 2012 Serena Williams vs Radwanska Wimbledon Finals. I’m very appreciative the Tennis Channel broadcasting past Wimbledon matches. I know Crack doesn’t care about WTA but it’s scratching the itch for me. I wish they’d show some Boris Becker Wimbledon Finals or Steffi Graf ones.
