All I want you to acknowledge, Ronaldo, is that I am attempting to build a franchise from scratch here.
Players like Hamilton, Youk, Victorino, and Volquez are the key building blocks to making this franchise a contender. I'm not going to trade them away for older, declining talent.

i agree with this, i just think that you should take the untradeable tag off of them if the right deal came along. you have some very valuable guys and could get some talent back in return for them

I haven't seen an offer come along for any of them that was even close to making me hit the accept button.
In order, here is how I value those 4:
1. Hamilton
2. Youkilis
3. Volquez
4. Victorino
The only way I trade these four is if:
A) The player I am getting has a higher ceiling than the one I am losing.
B) The two players I am getting would be sure-fire keepers for years to come.
I don't think anyone is going to offer anything that fits that, nor do I blame them. I am perfectly content keeping all four on my team for the next 5 years.
