you cant retro active change the rosters like someone apparently did which in turn changed the standings?
it would invalidate their offensive and pitching stats for that week. the rule was to only affect the pitching stats.
why do you all of the sudden want to go back and re-address? you agreed to let it go. its not like you are getting screwed again.

Even if you take a pitcher out that had a save and put another one in?
They would still have a valid lineup, just not the save.

I agreed to let it go because you had said there was no way to fix it. Bottom line. I shrugged it off and choose to not worry about it if there was nothing that could be done.
But there now seems to be a way to fix it. Why not fix it?
You are acting like I am the one that fricked up. No. I followed the rules, and in turn got penalized.
I have a feeling that most people would want to change a mistake if they had the chance.

You whine way too much for my liking. that's all
Posted on 6/23/08 at 2:02 pm to TigerPhan27
If you see it as whining, thats fine. Your opinion matters little. Im just having a conversation to get to the bottom of this. You don't have to take part or read it.

lester went from potentially being kicked out of the league to making a case for getting points anyway

Posted on 6/23/08 at 2:13 pm to PortCityTiger24
But it has opened my eyes that it looks like I can get the points i was entitled too from Week 1.
Ryan doesn't seem to want to work with me. He is being pretty close minded here. Maybe I should contact one of the asst commish's of the league.

by just trusting people

You do that, and they will be ex co-commishes.

well if Ryan isnt even going to attempt to try and fix it, I may have to contact Ron or Smartass
after all, we do have an off the board bet that could hinder his opinion on hte matter. I guess that was my fault for betting with the head man

there isn't.

you didn't get penalized. you were given a couple extra wins because something shady happened. it was discovered and is now being corrected.

i agree. just like we are correcting the mistake of giving you extra wins.
if there was any way i could go back and give you the wins when your opponent pitched extra innings, i would do it, but as explained, its not possible. at the time of this happening i proposed a few ideas. one that made a ton of sense to me was to allow you to control your opponents pitching when you played him next time around. you decided it wasnt a big deal.

I think he's referring to week one, dicksnot.

Ironically no shannigans went on when i was co-commish which is more than I can say about the post BFHC commish days

So you cant take players out retro actively to change the standings?
Then what just happened last week?
quote:

Im not talking about that. Im talking about week 1. I was penalized because someone else made a mistake with their lineup and broke the rule.

How do you know? Have you even tried what I suggested?
It seemed to work pretty well last week when someone messed with my teams roster.

My question is, if Ryan can't change the record so that LE and geaux gets points, then how is the innings pitched minimum even going to be enforced?
1.4. Each team must pitch a minimum of 25 IP or have at least 5 starts. Teams must also pitch a minimum of 900 IP per year.
Any team that does not meet the weekly inning requirements will forfeit control of their roster for the scoring period after the infraction is reported. Any team that does not meet the annual inning requirements will forfeit their spot in the playoffs (if eligible). The next person in line will then take their place.
Anyone intentionally ignoring these rules is subject to having their team suspended or possibly kicked out of the league.
On special occasions such as the All-Star break, these rules will be temporarily modified. 2 weeks prior to any rule being changed, the commissioner will notify the league. That rule will stay changed during the "special" period ends. If at least 75% of the league has an issue with the temporary rule change it will not be changed in the first place.
