He has won with Tiger before, so I don't think that makes a difference.

to Mike Tirico it does...frankly I thought it was very low class of him to mention that 'you have to assume Tiger would be at or near the lead' as Harrington was putting for eagle on 17

Maybe he's a Tide fan, they're also real good at declaring themselves would-be champions, if not for blah, blah, blah...

Everyone knows that Tiger can't handle bad weather, and the last time it was this bad at the British Open, he almost missed the cut.

So no, he would not have been up there.

I just want to chime in and say congrats to Paddy...he certainly deserves this championship especially with the way he played on the second nine - very impressive!

There are only 5 players who have gone back-to-back- in the past 50 years so regardless of Tiger or no Tiger that is one hell of an accomplishment.

Not to mention, he almost didn't play because of a severely injured wrist - I mean hell he didn't hit but 2 balls on Tuesday and Wednesday!

He won with Tiger in the field last year, and even if Tiger is in the field this year Paddy was clearly the best player in the field this week.

So Norman is still a choke. What a loser.
