We sure have taken a lot of third strikes tonight that should have been swung at

He doesn't swing if the ball isn't at his ankles.

Interesting move to keep Mujica in the game.
I wanted to see him in the 7th as well but 9 times out of 10 you will see the pinch hitter even under the same circumstances.

He only pitched to a batter, plus we built a nice lead.

I want to see Mitchell Boggs

Well i agree with the move, for one because he only got out of the 6th. But, since we got the lead by a comfortable margin under that particular situation, i figured Matheny would have pulled him.

I want to see Boggs to but not in this situation. I want to see how he reacts to a save situation with a two run lead
I think he will be fine but you just never know how a pitcher will react
On to the 8th

Yeah but he can still pitch the ninth just for the hell of it. I bet we run him out there. Just watch

Agreed. He'll pitch the ninth.
Gotta get him out there.

I want to see Motte back asap. Boggs may be a decent closer for the doormats but not for the Cardinals. He has never performed in the closing role very well.
I liked what i saw last season when he built confidence while solidifying himself in the 8th inning role. I hope he can take over while Motte is gone, but history backs me up.
ETA: I love rosenthal. Location is iffy sometimes, but this kid has a live arm. Hope he develops into a starter one day.

Boggs will b good enough till we get Motte back but your right, he's no straight heat kinda guy. But Boggs is great in that 8th inning role
