A couple of thoughts on the general topic and not necessarily the specific players mentioned.
Football is a violent sport and people who play it at a high level tend to have an edge to them that not all can control off the field. They also have way more money than the average person (and acquire it at a very young age) and this opens up many more temptations, especially since many grow up unaccustomed to money.
Your everyday Joe with average looks, average income, and an average wife is often moral by default. Never cheated on his wife? Would that still be true if he had all the pussy thrown his way that an NFL superstar does? Maybe, maybe not.
