So why did Ole Miss fire Kennedy?

I guess they saw that he had reached his peak, but he was basically a 20 win a year guy and his 2013 season was really good.

Possible replacements?

Brand new arena, awesome college town, proximity to Memphis and New Orleans.


That's a good job. Maybe they feel things are getting stale and they can attract a big name or a good young up-and-comer.

Why isn't it? They have a nice arena. They pay well. Not a ton of pressure due to it being a football school. Access to the south to recruit. Mississippi usually produces some decent talent. Yeah, I agree, it's a good stepping stone job for an up and comer.

Everybody in the SEC is making waves with their new coaches and he was a guy who'd run his course and was basically a NIT-level coach.
I wonder how big they'll swing for Mike White.
