Sorry to bump this thread, but after watching Illinois last night, I was curious.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure Keaton’s mom is a black woman with permed hair. Indians have straight hair, but Keaton and his siblings have curly kinky hair. They didn’t get that from his dad. I also saw an older picture of his parents, and she has the same curly hair as her kids. Also, the lady played college basketball. That’s rare among Indians.

Bottom line, there’s nothing online about his parents’ ethnic background. Maybe this lady is mixed herself, but she definitely has black ancestry. Indian and white mixed kids don’t look like the Waglers.
