The Rockets match up pretty well with the Lakers
Lakers' backcourt > Houston's backcourt
Lakers' frontcourt > Houston's frontcourt
Lakers' bench > Houston's bench

and They are on a roll!!!
Lakers blew up the Jazz 4 times and lost by two on Kobe's 5/24 shooting.

To say that a four game sweep isn't even relevant is stupid. But then again, you predict basically everything wrong, so this is a good sign for L.A.

Yao > Gasol. Scola is playing out of his mind right now. Bynum is definitely not back. (I'm counting Odom as a bench player)

Not so fast. The Rockets have an incredible bench. How many Rockets games do you watch? Von Wafer, Kyle Lowry, Carl Landry, Hayes (one of the best post defenders in the game), and Barry (sick playoff experience).

Apparently since I watch games and make factual arguments, I'm flaming...

and the post from Alex doesn't? Give me a fricking break. The Lakers are obviously a better team but they are not better than the Rockets at every single position and every aspect of the game. The Rockets won 53 games this year and they wern't all by forfeit

Laker and KOBE HOMERS WILL NOT LISTEN!!!!!

Better than Fish/Brown, Kobe and Ariza? Me thinks not. You have better interior defense, not on the perimeter.

Yao > Gasol.
5 vs a 4.

Scola is playing out of his mind right now.
And yet still wouldn't start for L.A.

Bynum is definitely not back.
He will be needed in this series, so hopefully he gets a groove going.

I actually watch the Rockets a ton. Houston is my favorite sports city, and the Rockets my third favorite NBA team, so I know the Rockets. I never said the Rockets' bench sucked, but the Lakers' bench is better.
So to recap from you, the Rockets are basically better in every aspect, despite the fact that the Lakers swept them, finished with a better record, and rolled through their first round opponent.
Answer me this:
Is Houston's frontcourt better?
Is Houston's backcourt better?
Is Houston's bench better?
Is Houston's coach better?
Is Houston's experience superior?

Lakers' backcourt > Houston's backcourt
Lakers' frontcourt = Houston's frontcourt
Lakers' bench < Houston's bench
I don't think the Rocket's will win this series based on the way we played ya'll in the reg season but i'm not giving up hope cause the playoffs are a completly different animal. You will not coast through this series the way some Laker fans may think because of how the reg season series went.

You can't say this:
then say this:
Why are you arguing when all I did was say they were a better team? I didn't compare individual positions or players, but I did compare the 3 major components of a team. The Rockets have an advantage at the center position and possibly the 3, depending on whether or not Odom starts or not.

Shane Battier and Ron Artest are the Top 2 perimeter defenders in the NBA! Shane Battier can absolutely shut Kobe down.
I also never said that Houston's backcourt was better offensively, but I think our defensive advantage makes it much closer.

Yes.
No.

The Rockets aren't Utah, my man.

I didn't say we'd coast. Saying we are better in every aspect does not imply a sweep, because the margins can be slight and homecourt can make it a wash.
We are winning the series in 6.

I said it because the Lakers are a better team but they are not better at every position and every component of a basketball team than the Rockets. With your post you made it seem like you think the Lakers are just better at everything than the Rockets which in my opinion is not true.

This is probably a good bet but i'm holding out hope the Rockets can pull this thing out. If we play the way we did in games 1 and 6 against Portland LA is in trouble. If we play the way we did in games 2,3,4, and 5 LA wins this in 4.

Lulz lulz lulz lulz lulz. Care to see this season's stats?
Game 1 - 23pts
Game 2 - 33pts
Game 3 - 37pts
Game 4 - 20pts
FG percentage? 53%

Your backcourt defense is not better. I'm sorry to tell you, but Fish, Brown, Kobe, and Ariza are all very good defenders, and now we aren't facing a big PG.

And the Lakers won't coast like they did against Utah. We were beating Utah by 13 or more points in EVERY game at some point. If Houston is even 10 points better than Utah, it's going to take some incredible Rocket performances to take L.A. to 7 even.

WON'T happen in THIS series!!!! Kobe is great, but his EGO will get in the way and he WILL try to win games by himself!!!! BAD for the Lakers!!! SORRY ALEX!!!!
