“Good Morning America” co-host Robin Roberts will emcee the opening night of the 2019 NFL Draft on April 25, as the annual three-day event makes its move from ESPN to ABC, the network announced Monday.

As part of her emcee role, Roberts will highlight the prospects selected by NFL teams and conduct interviews from an ABC set in Nashville, Tennessee, where this year’s draft will take place. She will be joined on a different set by ESPN host Rece Davis and the “College Gameday” crew.

It's amazing in the media how you can be dishonest and bad at your job but still move up

I think watching people read off a list of names is dumb, but Robin Roberts did SC for like 10 years.

She’s perfectly suitable for this.

People tend to hate ex sports broadcasters as they move into other tv fields. KO, Kevin Frazier, Pat O’Brian, Bryant Gumbel,Costas, Beadle, Andrews,Roberts, etc.

Most of these people happen to be pretty damn good when they are doing sports.

they can’t all host Outside the Lines.

I’m going to the draft on Thursday and Friday. I should hold up a sign behind her that says “Fake News”

She was all in on believing Smollett before fact checking the case.

So she got duped. If she was dishonest, that means she didn’t believe the things she heard and said.

Engaging in that last interview was being dishonest

Or she was just setting him up for embarrassment

I don't think she got duped or was dishonest. I think she really wanted it to be a true story and failed to do her job by making sure the story was accurate before letting that fricking idiot tell the story to a national audience.

No one believed that story, especially at the time of that last interview

If you believed that story, you need your head examined

And those of you think that TV executives know what they are doing have been proven wrong again.

But hey--defend them again this year when the Cowboys get 11 primetime games!
