There was a dude that lived on my street that killed two people and raped a girl or two. But he could ball, so we had Mad Respect. Especially after he asked God for forgiveness.

I wonder how soon after his retirement, (next week,) will he bring his chicken scratch dance to Dancing With the Stars?

Yeah and those two dudes he shanked are already dead anyway.

True....but not nearly the threat he used to be. Even if he was involved with dudes murder 10+ years ago he is an older dude now and a millionaire family man......he isn't gonna hurt anyone. He is going to pay LOTS of taxes, help kids and work with charities for the rest of his life. Only a fricking idiot would think someone like that should be in "jail".

On a scale of 1-10 how familiar would you say you are with the facts of that case ? Just curious...

He cut a deal to tell on his friends, who were later acquitted. His bloody suit from that night has never been found. The whole thing was shady.

The less we know about the case the more likely we are to respect Ray Lewis. I can deal with him "beating the rap" but I can't be told that I have to "Respect" him.
At worst he was a double killer. At best he participated in a fight that led to double murder, lied about it, obstructed justice, personally and deliberately destroyed key evidence, largely beat the rap, paid out of court settlements to the victim's families and then had his reputation largely rehabilitated because he can play a sport really, really well.

His friends were acquitted because they probably didn't do. I wonder who did?
