Track was slow allll day. Wonder how fast the zayat horse would have gone on a lightning track? The sprint too.
Gary rode a damn perfect race today, though.
What do you think of Julia in the Belmont?

I think the Belmont is 1 1/2 miles of guessing. That is a lot for these 3 year olds. I will probably just skip it.

I took care of him ( hansel) at Gainsborough farm where he went to stud. He was low key and walked in and out like a brood mare. They bought his dam shortly after and of course we called all her fillies gretel .

I was in love with him. Thought he was the most beautiful thing ever
Or , at least, the most beautiful since Sunday silence.
Did he pass on that nice personality to his babies?

Ironically, I still think Easy Goer was one of the most beautiful racehorses.

:P
I was 7 and Sunday silence was my mom's friend' (she and Stacy were college buddies) so I knew I was supposed to like him, but it grew from there. I know he had many conformation flaws, but I still think he was beautiful. Glad he made such an impact at stud.

Btw, i had my mare booked to lion tamer when I lost her, so I'm not hating on the easy goer line

Yes they had his class. It was 8,12 million they paid for him. That was the rumour anyway. We thought he might have the ghey at first , he would not jump the mares. No interest at all. I remember they also privately bought summer squall 's dam ,weekend suprise , too shortly after his success .

I took a mare to him years ago at three chimneys. He just oozed athleticism. I mean he walked in and he knew he was the shiznit.
