I don't care for Trent as a coach. And at a college like LSU, he'd be sitting on the bench. If he went to a place like Tech, he'd be on the floor first year. I'd rather see the kid get better on the floor than on the bench somewhere and that's really what Smith tries shift his kids toward.

S, trust me when I say you don't want him at LSU. The only peabody played that belonged at LSU would have been Brown.

Plus Shaq broke a back board that was reinforced and dude just broke a plain backboard

nah i know. like i said nowhere near a top target but they've watched some peabody games over the last year. IIRC he was claiming an offer a few months ago. i do like him and that small guard as hs guys though.

Proved what? In a 3 point win that was really 1 in a preseason game 3 months ago in New Orleans

Game was never in doubt.

Right, St Aug said the same thing 2 years ago after it beat Brother Martin 4 times in the season and lost to em in the quarters.

Aug was the better team that year, no question about it. Aug lost because Felix got in foul trouble, and the head was cut off from the snake.

Yea, we got down in that game and if I'm not mistaken, we came back too.

You hit a couple of miracle 3's in the last minute, congrats.

Don't expect a rematch to go the same if it happens bro, if so, you know nothing.
Same result, if and when they play again.
quote:

And if Aug turns it on as they please, tell em, its almost playoff time, they need to turn it on,

They always do.

cause its been off since mid December.

Right its not like they beat a top 5 team in the nation since then.... oh wait.

Aug couldn't score 80 if they played Riverdale right now.

What on earth does how much they score have to do with anything? They win games. At the end of the day that is all that matters.

Dee is getting some small looks, Grambling, Southern, Sam Houston St. I hope Tech picks up on him, he's definitely one of the best guards in the state, had 16 last night, but he and Ivory have been hot from outside lately. Just pulling up firing

How much they score matters because when they played us they put up 50 something and we couldn't hit the side of a barn, it wasn't like it was defense. We were playing horrible on offense until we got into the 3rd week of the season, that's why, they're gonna have to score, to beat us a second time, and what top 5 team in the country did they beat? Please let me know cause Prestonwood or Solidan is not...

No it doesn't.

Peabody had 18 turnovers and a hand in a face of every shot.

Or they could do what they did the first time and play suffocating defense. There is a reason Peabody's record is always good, they never play elite teams. Which is why they will stay in 4a in 2013, too scared to play with the big boys.

Prestonwood is ranked tenth right now. Were fourth when Aug defeated them.

Too scared to play with the big boys? I dont know what the catholic league showed you but 4A is the big dogs when it comes to 4A bruh...you need to do some history on the last decade.

Yea too scared to play the big boys. Didn't think I stuttered. Its the same reason peabody never plays national tournaments. They know they'd get their arse kicked.

And there is a reason we don't play a national schedule. Its called Power rankings and that's we're the number 1 seed for the playoffs right now and not Aug. Before this started in 2008, we were playing more and more out of state teams. Oak Hill Academy and Leflore in 06, Christian Life of Houston in 07, and in 09 in our tourney. Not our fault, that our coach understands its more important for us to get the 1 seed this year than anyone else in 4A outside of ASH because we dont have a close regional

If you are as good as you proclaim, power rankings shouldn't matter.

That is the dumbest statement you could make. Cause Clifford Barthe would be the first to disagree with you, cause I guarantee, he wouldn't want to visit Peabody, Huntington, STM or Northside in the second or 3rd Round, so you talking out the side of your neck bruh

I don't think Cliff gives a damn. He knows his team is going to win state.

Yea, Cliff better not sit on his but like he did in 2010. This ain't 5A. Rounds 1-4 won't be a breeze. Aug is good, but they forget they have to play the game sometimes.
