Oregon State Nephew

I saw my nephew from Oregon yesterday at my dad's funeral, hadn't seen him in 20 years. He's an Oregon State grad.
I asked him if he was pulling for Oregon in the National Championship and he laughed and told me when he found out Oregon was going he went out and bought an Auburn tee and cap, and so have a lot of his classmates.
No loyalty to the home state at all. Very Alabama'esque. Thought it was funny.

Mike Riley must be conflicted as the HC of Oregon State who grew up in Corvallis, and an Alabama graduate.
*edited: Riley is a native of Idaho, not Oregon, but he played HS football in Corvallis and considers it his hometown.

The way he talked, that's close to the truth. My brother-in-law (the one I don't like that much) is a Miss. State grad and seemed truly perplexed by that mind-set. He's one of those rah-rah SEC folks.
Oh, and my nephew thought that Cam-gate was just funny. Said it'll make Oregon's beat down even sweeter.

Let me give you a little hint about Oregon-Oregon State. Beaver fans really hate us and consider us their top rival. Now, don't get me wrong here, we really dislike Oregon State. However, we hate Washington a lot more. A whole lot more. From what I can tell from the SEC Rant, I guess it could be like Mississippi State (Oregon State) hating Ole Miss (Oregon) even though Ole Miss (Oregon) hates LSU (Washington) the most. Sorry if that was a little confusing.
