Online sports betting: what site should i use?

Looking to set up an online sports betting account.
Which sites should i look into?
Are there risks involved, like them not paying out?
Are offshore sports books the only ones legal for me?
Never bet through one of these, always went through "a guy", but my "guy" gave it up recently.
Any info or help would be appreciated.
ETA: looking to bet mostly football and basketball. Pro and college for both.

I use SportsBook. Plenty of people on here use 5 Dimes and don't ever have problems.
Hasn't been an issue for me thus far. I recently just pulled out some money from SportsBook.
