The two biggest questions after spring are qb play and corner depth. Anthony Brown, a BC graduate transfer, is firmly in qb1 spot. He makes good decisions, has good short throw accuracy and can hit the intermediate RPO throws. In limited playing time, he’s missed everything long. I hope it’s a timing issue but he has a weird hitch in his mechanics.

At corner, it’s very youthful. Mykael Wright has 1st round skill set but has been inconsistent his first two years. DJ James started to pop at the end of the year. He takes over as CB #2 after Demmo Lenoir’s departure. After these two, it’s an unknown. Trikweze Bridges reportedly had a good spring but didn’t participate yesterday. Dontae Manning was sidelined last year and part of spring with a nagging hammy injury. He got burned in the spring game a few times badly. He needs to catch up quickly.

The strength of the team is linebacker and WR. I have a feeling the OL will be very good too. However, these might be the two worst problems to have facing your team.

I am making arrangements to come to the game. Look forward to catching up with a few of you. I hope to get inside the stadium.

Ohio State is loaded on offense. Fantastic receiving core but I wonder who will get the bulk at RB.

They are gonna have an elite pass rush but really lack at linebacker and safety.

Damn shame that the game in Eugene didn't happen last year. Would have been awesome to watch.

If COVID hadn’t hit, we would’ve had the four dbs that were drafted yesterday.

I still think Oregon can make this a game next year. Corners need to stay healthy.

I figured he would be a stud. Hopefully he turns out for the season.

Any info on Flowe? Was he playing? How about former LSU commit Jaden Navarette? Believe he was committed to LSU for like 30 hours.

Flowe was sublime. He had meniscus surgery last fall and barely practiced this spring. Then he dominated yesterday. He and Sewell are a couple unicorns.

Navarette is with the 3’s. Oregon has a bunch of edge players.

Agreed but I actually think they will be fairly deep at RB. I’ve never been sold on Teague but love what I’ve seen so far from Treveon Henderson and Miyan Williams. None of them compare to Sermon or Dobbins though. I also think when the dust settles that McCord will end up being the starter at QB. I like Stroud too and I expect him to get the nod week 1 but McCord will push him.

What really scares me is Coombs as a DC. He may be a great recruiter and motivator but his schemes suck.

Henderson is a higher rated recruit than Dobbins and Sermon by far. RB is the least not gonna be a problem.

QB and back up TEs are where are unproven but have reloaded talent.

Stroud will be the starter unless he has an abysmal summer. Its pretty clear if you read between the lines.

Coombs had esstially no spring ball or summer workouts, limited fall camp, and no cupcake our of conference games. That's not a fair way to judge someone's schemes. Lota of reports from last year stated that guys didn't know how to line up adjust due to significant lack of reps.

It was pretty hard to install a new scheme last year.

Especially when you're replacing 3 starting DBs who were NFL rookie starters (2 1st round picks).

Im not a Coombs apologist, but he didn't have the field time to implement his scheme effectively, and it showed.

Coombs has never been a good sideline coach. He’s a fantastic recruiter though.

The PAC 12 never even got spring practice, summer workouts and a full fall camp. I would say shite show is right.

I know Oregon’s players look a lot better getting consistent workouts.

Looks like it's going to be on Fox at Noon et.

Fox is trying to own the noon slot, which I respect and at the same time am annoyed this won't be primetime.

It makes the noon slot better when Fox makes the effort to have a good game in that slot, but I would imagine that's one of the bigger games that weekend
