Maybe. What's going on with the other guy's team. I'm going against last-year's champ, who has a normally high-scoring team, but this week he has bye, bye, bye. He's forced to start Bulger (who he picked up after I dropped him), Grant, Slaton (not too bad), Driver, Housh, Lance Moore, and unknown D because he has to pick one up. You might get lucky.

he just countered with Forte/Moore/McClain and I'd get Jennings/Grant/B. Jackson.
I think this may work. You get a real upgrade at WR and he gets McClain, who is marginal--Fargas is probably better for a bye week fill in.

I don't see how they'll get Roy in for more than one play on such short notice.
How is Roy Williams going to play without a signed deal? I just read:
quote:

There are various reports that wide receiver Roy Williams‘ deal in Dallas is signed — it is not. The deal is not done. The framework is agreed to, and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is pushing for the deal to get signed as soon as today.

But it is not done, it is not a $20 million guarantee as reported, and it is not going to be a $20 million guarantee when the deal is signed.

The two sides have agreed to the deal’s framework — five years, $45 million. But now the question is how much money is guaranteed, and how the money is spread in the first three years of the deal. Those are the parameters currently and actively being discussed.

But it is not a deal until there are signatures on the dotted line. So far, none.

Remind me, do you play two or three wide outs?

This is a big RB upgrade, but a great WR loss. What has Chris Johnson been doing at running back? Anything?

Well, you can't play all four of the studs at once. You've got to keep Jennings because he's got the best stats of any WR right now. Wayne is awesome and it appears from this past week that Peyton is going to return to Peyton-form. So the questions are Colston who has been injured and Jackson who is a little streakier than the others.

One aside, if you get anything for return yards or TDs, you might keep Jackson for that purpose.

Otherwise, Jackson probably has the higher trade value if you're looking for medium RB. If you want stud RB, you'll have to dangle Wayne. Don't deal Wayne without getting a true stud though. You know, if you can't get enough for Jackson, you might just sit where you are and pray that this stud WR corp pulls you through.

Well, you're in a tough spot, but Welker is fine for a No. 3 WR. He's on my team and tends to get 70 yards a game. Cassell is throwing to Welker a lot when he's not throwing the ball straight at the ground. No chance the guy will take Chambers instead of Burress?

Oh, please. Doesn't sound like you need to do any more trading.

I do get return yards so De.Jackson has a lot of value in my league. He's a perfect #3 for me if I keep two of the other studs because I don't think he'd fetch as much in a trade as one of the other three would.

I'd really like to get as close to a stud RB as I can because I don't think Grant/Graham will get the job done.

If you get return yards, then I would think that Jackson would be worth a lot. Just throwing out ideas, but it seems like you're going to want Marshawn Lynch or Brandon Jacobs or maybe Marion Barber, someone like that. If so, dangle Jackson. If you can't get one of them for DJ, then maybe offer Wayne. The price for Barber may be too high, but one of the others may be doable if you find a team that has at least one capable back on the bench.

For anyone who's interested, I just read that Eddie Royal participated in a full practice today and is looking likely to play this week. Tony Scheffler was limited in practice and may not play until after the bye week.

Still no new news on Willie Parker. If you know anything, please let me know. I have a trade request deadline of noon tomorrow.

Yes, that the last word I heard. With the lowly (but surprisingly spry in recent games) Bengals coming to town, I just keep thinking Moore may get more work regardless. I don't see them pressing Parker when their bench is so shallow. Thoughts?

the report I read said that Parker re-tweaked his knee today and that Moore would be starting.
