No, she was out of breath. Riding is a lot harder than most people think.

Damn. I hate that for him, but there was certainly something off about that hind end--just way too choppy.

I wonder how a starter's asst learns the leg kick...They all do it so well. I would fall off the gate if I did it.

Actually, I think the biggest thing was getting the hood. The graduation Stakes was the first time he really threw out that patented stretch run. The two races he lost after that- the DM Futurity, he was splitting horses willingly when he was hit across the face with a whip in the stretch and ended up beaten about 3 lengths and then he missed the break at the Golden STate race, and even then, he put in a pretty impressive mid race move that the jockey should have made a bit later in the race, and again still finished fairly close.

I once went to the UGA football team's orthopedic dr about my ankles, and his assessment was " Well, I have seen worse, but not by much." Volleyball and flag football were the danger zones, although I have been known to fall off sidewalks as well.

Going with Hey Leroy , Boisterous, Imagining, and Rookie Sensation in the tri box for the Manhattan. WOnder if they are going to show it. Too bad NBC has done a shite job of explaining these awesome races on the undercard and why they would be important...SMH

By the way, the main track is lightening fast today. Bayern went in 120 and change and Palace Malice just went the mile in 133 and change. The previsou mile and a half race was 227, so we will see where the three year olds are.
