I guess the one good thing is that the NFL network will replay it tonight about midnight.

fricking cable company BS. Greedy bastards.

Cable pays the local affiliates to carry their signal. WVLA's owner jacked up their rates and Cox said "no." So WVLA yanked the signal as a negotiation tactic.

Cable sucks, but if you want to blame somebody here, blame WVLA.

Cable is in a no-win situation here. If they refuse, the signal is pulled and people are pissed. If they roll over, rates are jacked up and people are pissed.

The co-ax hack works like a champ!!

Easy fix for Cox customers
I know the cable company isn't at fault 100% but I just want to relax with a beer and watch Rogers and AP put on a show. So the solution is to pull one of the most watched NFL games of the week from loyal paying customers? What a fricked up system. I'll enjoy my free over the air HD SNF, :double bird: to Cox and WVLA.

edit I guess it's the local channels fault. Cable TV is becoming a thing of the past, once you can watch sports without a cable provider they will be done.
