Martin over Brown, Carter, and Reed? What a travesty. Martin was a very good RB but he was never a dominant player. He's a borderline guy at best. He certainly doesn't deserve to get in the HOF before those guys.

curtis martin is 4th all time in rushing yards and had 10 of 11 season of 1,000 yards. how is that borderline?

Huge day for Pittsburgh. Two Steelers (Dawson and Butler) and two Pittsburgh natives (Martin and Doleman).

As much trouble as they have judging/voting in WRs now, I can't imagine what it will be like in 5-15 years when some of the guys from this era come up. Guys like...

Moss
Wayne
Harrison
Driver
Fitz
AJ80
Torry Holt
Isaac Bruce
Hines Ward

It may be like the Steroid Era in baseball, where the home run numbers are so inflated that they become irrelevant. There isn't a suspicion of cheating in the NFL, but the numbers will definitely be discounted (and probably adjusted down too much).

I wouldn't be surprised if all those guys eventually got in, but they'll have to wait.

Well, the NFL continues to cater to a high-scoring desire, so that's their problem to deal with. That's why it's hard to compare WRs and QBs in the 70's and 80's with those in today's game.

Curtis Martin is the 4th rusher all time in the NFL and rushed for 1000 yards every year for a fricking decade straight. There is almost no one that deserves to be in more than him, imo.
