There’s a lot of opportunity for these non playoff bowls to generate excitement for these fanbases if they would get more creative

First hurdle is getting rid of the conference tie ins or preferences. Should be a competition among the bowls to put on the best game. Bowls would be incentivized to have better perks/game sites/ and matchups

I think one of the kindlings or the derision of the bowl game concept, was years of sending the same fanbases to the same bowls over and over again leads to a fatigue of the middle. Can’t get excited about going to Tampa for the 7th year in a row, even if my 8 win team is a fun team to watch

You don't understand the concept that if a team doesn't do well enough to go to a meaningful bowl game that I'd rather see them have a good time in something like the Pop Tart Bowl? Especially in the age of players sitting out/transfer portal?

ETA: I say this from a team and fan perspective too. When you play in a bowl, you're going to events for a few days leading up to the bowl (fans too). It isn't just showing up the day of to play. Why not it be something entertaining if you aren't making a CFP or NYE bowl?

Thanks, S.

BTW thought of you when we played Cherokee Parks nephew the other day. Thought Clash Peters would fit well in one of your random CBB player threads.
