Wish you tards would still have Alonso and Grandel to offer us for a SP.
Maholm would have been an upgrade over Latos.

Think they'll make a move in next two hours?
I'm really not sure. Jocketty always keeps things pretty hush. It's doubtful they make any big splash though, imo.

Twitter journalism is at least fun to watch.

Lulz.
As for Span, I heard the Reds backed out on that. Twins wanted a ML-ready pitcher, and most of the Reds good prospects are still in AA and below.

As of 1:40 pm ET, #Diamondbacks had not been in contact with Upton's agents. He can block trades only to #Cubs, #RedSox, #Yankees, #Indians

Justin Smoak to the Reds?
Not sure why the Reds would make a move like that.

Not saying that Upton is getting traded by #Diamondbacks - don't know that. Do know DBacks trying to get big-time starting pitcher.

I was just considering this. Not sure yet if I like it or not. Seems like you have to sift through a bunch of bullshite to get to the truth. So many people jumping the gun or putting any tiny morsel they can find out there in the hopes of being the first person/outlet to get the scoop.
Has kind of a boy who cried woof feel. I'm already to the point where I'm just sitting back and waiting for something definite to come out of the front office.

Cubs still scrambling on Dempster and it seems pretty clear that the Dodgers have no inclination to include Allen Webster in a deal.

910 OPS in minors, 735 in majors. Should at least split that difference. @LohDoggyDogg: Ceiling w/ Snider? #Pirates

I don't hate it. I don't believe everything that's tweeted. I just kind of like following the circus. It's better than having to listen or watch ESPN.

Patrick Corbin has been scratched from his start. Don't think he's a big time enough to net a Garza, but possibly Dempster.

No surprise there. At least we hung on to Gary Brown. fricking not excited about losing Tommy Joseph though. Still have another decent C prospect in Susac down in the system. We'll see if they throw in a pitcher in there as well.
Schierholtz will mash in Philly, IMO. He has the perfect swing to drive it to RF.

I hear ya. I haven't been following Twitter. Just reading this thread and listening to MLB Network Radio.

I liked Susac coming out of OSU. That's where he went, right?
