He may have I just don't remember. Tommy Faul broke a couple for me a few years ago. His daddy used to pull the gates at the Quarter Pole when we bush tracked. Man the stories I could tell.

Yes I remember the 'Fog' race at Delta. Not sure what he was thinking that night, but he did just join the race.

I remember one night at Jefferson Downs, Jeff Faul was on my buddy horse. Jeff got pissed at them for some reason. When they were loading in the gate, Jeff got off and said the horse wasn't right.
Anyway, Kelly Broussard got on him and won going away. Paid like $36.00. We gave Jeff some shite when he came out for the next race.

The start is everything. You can be the quarterhorse equivalent of Secretariat and it doesn't matter if something bad happens out of the gate. Last week I was watching a race at Louisana Downs where a horse veered into the prohibitive favorite right out of the gate and basically eliminated him from contention. And the stewards rarely call interference in QH races, it seems.
