I just disagree. I was disregarding this season for sure, but even last season was an abnormally great year for him. Thus, I have to think it was an outlier. 30 year old players just don't normally make that kind of jump in production. Then taking his age into account there should be some sort of decline. So I don't think the Heat would be smart to take a risk on him.

Nash is completely different. He's playing at a very high level at a very advanced age. A poor year from Nash right now is better than a good year from Odom. Plus Nash probably only wants a one year deal. Whereas Odom would probably prefer a 2-3 year deal. So there's much less risk in signing Nash than there would be Odom.
