re: LeBron Fans: Ever Ask Yourself Why Tiger Is So Beloved?

Tiger doesn’t act black so he doesn’t scare or annoy half the country. They were raised differently and come from different backgrounds. Lebron doesn’t give two fricks what old crusty white men think and I respect that, he doesn’t have to.

This is just a laughably bad take. You can say a lot of things about LeBron, but he does not act like he's a ghetto hoodrat at all and that has absolutely nothing to do with why he is disliked.
LeBron is disliked because of how highly he puts himself on a pedestal (see: The Decision) and because he speaks loudly on social issues while not being educated on the topic. The fake hate crime to try and make white people look bad is another reason.

You're allowing yourself to dismiss, and not appreciate, a generational player that will go down as one of the best two to ever live. That's too bad.

tiger is still largely hated he’s probably the second most polarizing athlete in the country to Lebron.
Lebron’s is larger because the NBA has a much larger audience than golf.

This is a significant percentage of LeBron James threads on MSB, many of whom, like James, don't have an education any further than HS.

No. But I do think watch golf, and didn't watch any of the Masters. I didn't even know he won until about 7pm on Sunday.

LeBron status comes from the media and social media, not from his own accomplishments or merit. There are other basketball players objective people would put between Jordan and LeBron, some even have an argument vs Jordan for the greatest of alltime. The truth is LeBron is nowhere near MJ and never will be, once his career is over and the hype machine that drives his narrative has no more use for him his place in history will be much more clear. And that place isn’t 1st or 2nd alltime.
Is LeBron James better than Michael Jordan? No. However, you're allowing a sharp hatred of LeBron to spew irrational thoughts.

You'll see that a lot on this board. People are unable to separate LeBron the player from LeBron the person.
People are also unwilling to admit that a large part of Jordan's mythical status is because of Nike.

Lebron is not 1st all time.
But he’s certainly top 5.
Once his careers over he won’t just disappear. He’ll probably buy into some team and continue to be all over the place and around the sport /country
Or he will be the name associated with an agency like Jay Z is

for everyone of you.. are 3 who like lebron.. there is a reason lebron is the #1 selling jersey and tops in most popular players every single year. Not to mention the most marketable nba player with the best selling nba shoes
Just remember, not everyone thinks the same you do. Actually quite the opposite

The "Tiger has been beloved for years" narrative has really been overblown after this Masters victory.
