1-3 he beat them in 2019

That INT isn’t on McCord. OL got bullied there.
100% agreed. I just think it's crazy that the margin from him being a hero to a transfer is that thin. I thought he hit some nice deep balls and there was TE seam route in there, too, I think. He definitely panics when under pressure, though, and has tendency to throw balls in the dirt in that situation.

Also, Kirby is 1-5 vs Saban, including 0-4 in the SECCG. Should UGA fire him?

He didn't even see open guys on more than several occasions against Michigan.
His issue wasn't arm talent. Dude just couldn't make the right reads.

Let's not forget that Harbaugh was 2-4 in 2020 and the program kind of disarray. I know it was a weird year, but there is something to sticking with the program. I think ND re-tooled with BK once or twice after he had some down years. Somebody on here said Day is similar to Kirby, he just needs some good luck in critical situations. If you want to read a thread with some of the high-level things Day does, go down this rabbit hole.

Ryan Day teams may shite the bed on 3rd & 2 more than anyone else in the Big Ten, but when it comes to teaching his players to identify coverages and having the playcalls to exact maximum punishment, he is peerless in the NCAA.
This was the story on the 44-yard bomb that beat Will Johnson and turned a chance for Michigan to have an end-of-half shot at points to a chance for Ohio State. The camera caught Day on the sideline this whole time as he noticed the Wolverines' setup and gave the sign for flipping.

When McCord gets harassed by fans for losing to Michigan and is told to look elsewhere because Day is bringing in another QB, I kinda feel sorry for the dude….
Not sure if that all happened, but wouldn’t shock me

He was told he isn't the starter going forward and decided to transfer.

That’s pretty crappy if true. There should be a competition during spring

That's what I said. He wasn't the starter and there would be a competition.
Also seems likely a transfer is coming in.

I doubt that’s what happened. McCord wasn’t guaranteed to start which it should be given his overall performance. There’s definitely a hidden story though, and there’s no doubt they add a QB from the portal.

The way I look at it he’s simply not good enough when you consider he’s in year 3 with the disposal of weapons around him.
Yes, Ohio State has crazy high QB expectations. And no one expects him to be perfect. But he was still making some pretty basic mistakes you can’t be doing when you have been in the program as long as he has.

Isn't Ohio State high on Air Nolad?

Yes. They really like Kienholz too but he was a true frosh this year and not ready yet.

Not really a great moment for some of the loudest idiots in our fanbase, but that isn't why he's transferring.

ohio state needs high level qb play. mccord ain't it. ryan day making the right move.
if the players can leave anytime they want, then i have no problem with coaches running them off.

Yep, I agree. You can just see that he didn't have it. Day knew it last offseason, that's why he went hard after Drake Maye.
