Here you go Rohan..
Obvious Tier 1: 8 - 18 not sure any of these two can rate if they get shuffled back
Tier 2: 2-10-15-19
Tier 3: 3-7-12-20 lot of closers in this bunch that could surprise for one of the top 2 spots
Tier 4; 4-6-13
My non favorite winner is Firing Line #10
Hers a $1 Tri part wheel for you with the favs on top;
8-18/8-10-18/2-3-6-15-19-20 = $16

If frosted doesnt bounce, hes sitting in a bigger race. got his health in order and beat the bias to crush wood.
still not sure who to bet???

Not sure I agree with you on Frosted. I find that when a trainer changes everything and gets a top run out from the horse, then that is likely the majority of the improvement.
Mubtaahij is a worthy international challenger, but I am not sure he is going to appreciate the concrete surface that is CD today, especially with brand new shoes.
Damn watching the 4th race and there appears to be almost no kickback. That track must be hard as a rock. Also, looking like the speed is tiring.

horse had breathing issues, which they had corrected, then, while fixed runs a big race.
he either bounces like a basketball, or runs another big race.

Thanks brother. Reading up a little bit on pedigree, conditions, earlier races.. I like the 10 and the 18 just off a quick glance.

I look at this race like this: the odds are against both AP and Dort getting a good break and not get shuffled back. Both like to set the pace. If these 2 get in front entering the back stretch it will be a two horse race. However, I think one of them gets shuffled and looses his nerve and that sets up for a stalker/closer type and money to be won. Firing Line, Upstart, Carpe, Frosted, Materiality all have the stones to win.
Off to the track, good luck to all!!

21-1 on Upstart is simply insane. God, I hope those odds hold.

it might go down to 18/1 at the worst or go up a few ticks. u wont see much difference, too much money already in the pool

there are 3 horses with 3 triple digit Beyers, the other two are below 5-1. The outside draw doesn't do him any favors, but you have to bet on him just for the overlay, no?
also, as someone who saw Funny Cide enter the starting gate at 15-1 and leave it at 11-1, the odds can always drop...

Psssst Funny Cide went of at 13/1($27.60), nearly 14/1. You might have watched him drop to 11/1 in fantasy island, but certainly not in Kentucky Derby.

I had a winning ticket on him and was watching from the top of the infield bleachers at the 8th pole.I will fully admit that the my memory isn't perfect, but I remember quite clearly that odds dropped noticeably from the parade to whet I eventually collected on him.
Wondering a bit why the jockey didn't just let Gimme the Lute run on rather than fighting him the whole first half of that race. Doubt he would have beat the winner, but might have taken second.

I just love the difference in him when he switched to dirt. Immediate change. I like him, but I'm fully aware he could run last.
I'm having a hard time keeping up today. At the barn with one that got the crap kicked out of him last night

I don't trust throats. I like him, but who is to say he won't have another issue

the surgery works about 50/50. The problem is it doesn't really make the horse better- it just helps them not stop dead cold in a race.

You're a vet, right?
Ideas on minimizing what will surely become a giant scar?

is a tight suturing job a possibility? I also really like Animax to help keep the granulation tissue in check.
IF more of an abrasion, SSD can help as well.
Trypzyme works great on dogs/cats is quickening healing, but I am not sure it is available at the moment.

Yep. Stitches look great.
This is the before picture I got while getting ready for the wedding:
Thankfully it's not as deep as it looks. He scars super easy, though.

NICE! You might be surprised, though, I have found that the deep lacerations over a muscle can heal cleaner than one would think. As long as no sneaky sequestrum on the pelvis.

Alright, I'm heading over to OTB soon. Wondering where the smart money is.

They keep showing the replay of the FOY, and granted they aren't showing a head on of the stretch, but it really doesn't look like Itsaknockout was making a winning move at any point in that stretch.
