Ever think it was Calumet that said to drop him? Everyone runs to charge Sharp with screwing that up. Im not taking up for him at all but some owners do tell the trainers where to run.

Honestly, considering he didn't run a lick in his first race despite going off as the close 3rd choice in the betting makes me think his second race was set up for a nice betting coup for people at the barn and sneak through a pretty high level claiming race- not many people are going to spend 30K on a MCL with pretty "meh" breeding whose note in his first race was "outrun". Of course, it is completely natural for a horse to go from dead last in one run to winning by 17l in the next without a major excuse. The trainer did say he was claimed because of his works.

Ironically the only other horse claimed out of that race- a first time starter named Twitchy, owned by Mattress Mac of all people, never ran again.

Tell me exactly where there was evidence to support your claim? I'll hang up and listen

You are assuming steroids were illegal then- they were not and used widely. As for evidence, like everything else in racing, you just have to start reading between the lines, because no one in the US really has any interest in unpacking the ugly truth that everyone cheats to the level with which they are comfortable.

You're avoiding my question. Where was the evidence. You'd make a perfect press secretary

Winstrol was legal in 2008. I remember the hoopla surrounding Big brown.
