How is Clemson/Bama any different than VT last year?

VT was very over-rated coming into that game last year and it showed after playing LSU. Clemson is obviously not a top 10 team right now. Both teams look bad, both teams looked flat. VT has better coaching obviously. There is no difference in Bama destroying an over-rated ACC team and LSU doing it.
Talent, speed and ability is not Clemson's problem. Bowden was simply out-coached and in fact, made look silly.

I don't think anyone is saying there is a difference. However I do think VT was better team last year then Clemson is this year but who really cares?

VT went on to finish top ten and win the ACC. Remains to be seen whether Clemson can. Clemson has a way of avoiding BCS bowls and finsishing 20th. Also, LSU/VT was effectively over in the second quarter.

VT finished the regular season ranked #3. In fact that win was what put us in the National Championship game. (they were over rated though

The only difference I see is Beamer is a good coach and Tommy Bowden is not. I'm still scratching my head over the extension. Even moreso after last night.

It was a good win for Alabama. What I dont understand is why some Alabama fans need and seek "approval" by LSU fans that they are a talented team. Yes, they are better than last year, but beating Clemson is a far cry from playing the big boys of the SEC! So, to Alabama, I say congrats and be ready because you will not sneak up on anyone.

PJ we played about 30 minutes or less at Bama last year and won. Bama will not stay within 21 of LSU this year.

Bama did exactly what it needed to do to handle Clemson........smash mouth football.
That shite won't work against LSU, UGA, etc but I thought they looked pretty damn good though.

This is not about LSU beating Bama. Its about the fact that LSU with a NEW QB would not have beaten Clemson as bad as Bama did!!! So are you saying LSU was impressive AT ALL in the 2nd half Max?????

pj the game was over at halftime, its hard to get 20 year olds to stay focused. we can collapse 2nd half all year if we are up 31 at half.

UMMM... Beamer is a million times better coach than Tommy (I have never won a big game) Bowden. And Virginia Tech finished #3. That Clemson team I saw last night will lose 4 games. And that is only because they play no one.
